Dark Eternity will always be accepting applications from strong players. Criteria that must be met:
-At least 18 years old -Fluent in English -Forum Access -Vent software installed with working microphone -Able to consistently attend raids -Willing to take instructions -Must have appropriate raiding add-ons -Reliable Internet connection -Conduct yourself in a professional manner
We ask that all current and potential members register on our website with the exact spelling of your main character. The Shandon in game should be registered as "Shandon" not as "shandon" or "ShAnDoN". The forums are a simple extension of the game and, in the interest of simplicity, we will keep our name scheme consistent. If you switch your main character, your forum name will also be switched. Forum activity is compulsory and those that are not logging in and participating are subject from removal of the guild.
Each and every application will receive a response regardless of decision. Decisions will usually be made within one week of the application. Information from the applications is considered confidential, and the details will not be discussed outside of our administration. This is especially important for those who may be applying to us from other guilds. We respect that they may not wish to compromise standing with their current guild until they know if the are accepted into DE. Please understand that we take this privacy issue very seriously and will work with individuals' specific needs in order to make this process as easy as possible.
DE is a newly reformed guild. All actions are assessed through our guild leaders. In DE, our hierarchy consists of 4 GMs. Although uncommon, this is to ensure that all issues are handled with the best interest of the guild. We take our guild and raids very seriously and will not put up with any drama. Players who conduct themselves in an inappropriate manner and/or cause problems within the guild will be placed on warning. Failure to correct the addressed behavior/actions will result in removal from the guild. Communication is key for a functioning guild to progress with current and future content. Any problems or concerns with current members or officers should be addressed directly to GMs. All matters, necessary decisions, and disclosure of information will be discussed amongst all GMs.
Those who are accepted into DE will begin as an initiate until forum registration and posts to the DE ToS thread are complete. The terms will include rules regarding conduct, raid activity, and knowledge of class and boss mechanics. As an initiate, the player will not receive DKP, will not be eligible for loot items, and will not be allowed to access guild resources. Once registration is complete and the terms have been accepted, the player will gain trial status. During trial status, a player will begin to receive DKP, potential loot items (members and core raiders will take priority over trial members), as well as access to guild resources such as the guild bank. However, unlike a guild member, a trial member may be removed from the guild without explanation. Trial will last no longer than 14 days, but can be shortened pending conduct and raid attendance/performance. Members will receive the aforementioned privileges. Members will also be placed on warning and given the opportunity to correct any necessary behaviors before guild removal. Members with a raid attendance of 80% or higher during a 4 week raid cycle will be promoted to Core Raider. If attendance drops below 50% during a 4 week raid cycle without explanation or prior approval, a core raider may be demoted to member. Any member that is inactive for 14 days without prior notification will be promptly kicked from the guild.
Raid times have been established to work with our members and best fit the guild as DE caters to the working adult. On time performance to a raid consists of being at the scheduled encounter 15 minutes early, repaired and consumables with you. Showing up late to a raid will result in your spot being filled. If you know of certain raid times that you will be late or unable to attend a raid this must be noted on the forums under that week's raid encounter schedule. Deviations of this rule will not be allowed as we want to get in and start pulling to make the most of our time.
Disrespect to any member of the guild will not be tolerated. We are here to have fun and achieve a common goal. If at any time there is a petition or complaint of a member in this manner, they will be investigated among the four GMs and officers.
Please carefully review this post before proceeding to the ToS.
All members are expected to know the strategies and mechanics for all current end-game content. Having no experience for a particular encounter is not an excuse for failure. It will be assumed that you have read the strategies and watched the videos at www.tankspot.com prior to raids.
All members are expected to know their class and role in regard to stats needed, gems needed, correct rotations, etc. Please visit www.elitistjerks.com for detailed information concerning your class and role.
All members are expected to show up to raids 15 minutes prior to the raid starting with at least 4 flasks, your own food, appropriate add-ons loaded, and materials to gem/enchant any items received during the raid.
All members are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner while logged into the game. Please keep in mind that children do play this game, so keep vulgar words, drug references, and sexual comments to a minimum.
Please accept these Terms of Service to begin earning DKP during raids.
